Ganizani's StoryGanizani, a frail and quiet boy was overlooked by everyone in the busy Limbe market. One day he was spotted by orphanage volunteers while he was working for a food shack owner. They soon realized that he had no opportunities and no hope and decided something needed to be done. So they asked the owner of the shack if he would let Ganizani live at the orphanage, where he would be provided shelter, food, and an education.
Upon arrival, Ganizani was immediately given medical care and a nutritious meal, and now, in a safe environment, he felt comfortable enough to open up about his past. At the age of eleven he lost his parents, and he and his teenage brother were left to look after themselves. That’s when he found his job at the food shack; however these circumstances made Ganizani feel very unhappy and he soon became unwell. Unfortunately, Ganizani story is far too common in the country of Malawi. In spite of the difficult experiences Ganizani has faced, he still has a positive outlook on life and hopes for a better future. He is the proud recipient of an Agape Scholars International Scholarship, and he is attending a private primary school in Blantyre.
