Agape House: A Place of Hope

Agape House in Limbe City is the site for the residence for orphans and vulnerable children in Agape Scholars International.  It currently houses fifty children who receive three meals a day. The children are cared for by teachers and local Malawians who the children refer to as “Amayi” (which means mother). During the week, the children attend public primary schools.  Additionally, we have an afterschool program of tutoring in English and mathematics. This program is accessible to vulnerable children who do not live at Agape House. On Fridays, the children engage in a sports program in which they learn to play netball, soccer and basketball.

Additional extra-curricular activities include an agriculture program in which the students learn how to plant vegetables, a sewing class and also carpentry class Youth leaders from Young Life organization meet with our teenagers at Agape House each week.
