101_1356

Lucy Kafodya, is our sweet, fourteen year old Student Spotlight this week. She is the fourth born daughter in a family of five children. She loves to attend City Pentecostal Church with her family each week. We are so glad that Lucy was not found to be begging on the street. However, she still was unable to continue formal education after the sixth grade. We pray that she will continue to thrive at Agape House and be able to pursue all of her dreams.

What is your favorite thing about coming to Agape House?

She gets access to free education.

What did you learn there this week?

English vocabulary and number patterns in mathematics

What would you like to be when you grow up?

She wants to be a lawyer so that she can bring justice to Malawians and those from other countries.

What is your favorite game to play?

Netball (this is similar to basketball)

What five words best describe you?

Talkative. Friendly. Cheerful. Funny. Playful.

What is your happiest memory?

Her happiest memory is when her brother brought her a lot of gifts.

What is the nicest thing you have ever done for someone?

She gave a friend some of her clothes.

What is one thing that you know about Jesus?

He died on the cross for our sins.

If you could give one thing to every child in the world, what would it be?

A school uniform.

Heavenly Father, Lucy is your creation that You love so much. You made her intentionally and can count the number of hairs on her head. Thank you for making her funny, and talkative, and friendly. We praise you that you have put a sense of justice on her heart for others. Please, let your love surround her and guard her all the days of her life.

“Justice, and only justice, you shall pursue, that you may live and possess the land which the LORD your God is giving you .” -Deuteronomy 16:20
