#GivingStories

“After seeing my daughter become involved as a volunteer with Agape Scholars International, I really became aware and knew there was a need that needed to be met for the street children in Blantyre, Malawi. I knew it was not something I needed to pray about, I knew I just needed to act. It was as if God was telling me, “join in and help the kids who need help.” I was putting feet to my faith.

In 2016, my daughter took a trip to visit the school in Malawi and we were able to see day to day updates and pictures of what it was like at Agape House in Blantyre for the kids. Through this, I was really able to see God at work with the street kids. I know there is a really large ongoing need for those kids, a lot of them have lost their parents and are totally living and having to fend for themselves. Without Agape House, the kids would not have their day to day basic needs met: food, shelter, clothing. Agape Scholars International has worked really hard at making sure all of these needs are met. The bonus is, they get to hear the Good News of Christ at the same time. You can tell it’s really making a difference for them. It gives them a hope and a future that they likely didn’t have before.”- Donor Richard Scott
