Student Spotlight: Kelvin Masanga

Kelvin Masanga is a bright fourteen year old boy from the village of Chemusa in Blantyre Malawi. He is the second born son in a family of five children. His father works as a brick layer.  Kelvin and his family attend church at the Church of Christ together. He was unable to continue his education after the fifth grade and has had to beg on the streets for one year now. We are so glad that Kelvin has been able to continue his education at Agape House where he can know that he is loved and is provided with the tools he needs to have a bright future.

What is your favorite thing about Agape House?

He loves the education, but he also loves the special care that he receives there.

What have you been learning at Agape House this week?

He learned addition in mathematics and worked on his spelling words.

What do you want to be when you grow up? Why?

Kelvin wants to be an accountant when he finishes his education. He wants to be this because he knows that accountants are paid well.

What is your biggest dream?

To own a really big house.

What five words best describe you?

Calm. Courageous. Intelligent. Generous. Humble.

Who is your best friend?

Chiyembekezo Mtewa

What is the nicest thing you have ever done for someone?

He bought someone food.

If you could give a gift to every child in the world, what would you give?

Food. (Everyone loves food!)

What do you know about Jesus?

He is the Son of God.

Heavenly Father, thank you that Kelvin can continue his education at Agape House. May this place be an avenue of your love for him. Let it provide him a brighter future and help to fulfill his dreams of being an accountant. We ask that you provide for his needs. You love him and care for him deeply. Amen.
